We’re seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team and support the daily HR functions that keep our restaurants running smoothly. This role will play an active part both in the office and in the field — working closely with managers and team members across our restaurants to strengthen communication, consistency, and company culture.
We are seeking candidates with proven restaurant or hospitality experience; applicants without such experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:Administrative & Systems Support
Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding coordination.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records across HR systems (HRIS, payroll, and scheduling platforms).
Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying hours, status changes, and tip reports.
Help track and organize employee documentation, including certifications, licenses, and training compliance.
Process employee changes, leaves, and benefits documentation as needed.
Employee Relations & Field Support
Conduct regular visits to restaurant locations to support management teams and ensure HR visibility in the field.
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, or workplace concerns.
Assist managers in conducting employee check-ins, coaching sessions, and documentation of performance-related matters.
Support investigations and employee relations issues in collaboration with HR and operations leadership.
Help facilitate open communication and positive workplace culture across all locations.
Observe and report on team morale, staffing trends, and engagement opportunities at each site.
Training, Compliance & Culture
Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
Track training completion, certifications, and renewal dates for required compliance programs (e.g., Food Safety, Alcohol, DC PFL).
Support employee recognition, engagement, and retention initiatives.
Assist in developing and distributing HR communications, policy updates, and company announcements.
Help plan and execute staff events, group meetings, and team-building activities.
1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in hospitality or multi-unit operations. Those with Food and Beverage or restaurant experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with staff at all levels.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable working in both office and restaurant environments, with the flexibility to travel between locations as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and familiarity with HRIS or payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, ).
Discretion, professionalism, and a proactive, people-first mindset.
Qualifications:
1 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in hospitality or multi-unit operations. (SHRM- CP)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with staff at all levels.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable working in both office and restaurant environments, with the flexibility to travel between locations as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS or payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Workforce Now).
