The Help Desk Analyst is a vital part of our IT support team, providing essential assistance to employees and contractors in resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. This part-time role is based in Chicago, Illinois, and supports a dynamic work environment. The analyst will be responsible for responding to support queries, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring timely resolution to maintain productivity across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to user inquiries and support requests via phone, email, or in-person.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide effective solutions.
• Document all interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system for future reference.
• Assist with the setup and configuration of new devices and software.
• Provide training and support to staff on IT-related issues as needed.
• Collaborate with IT team members to escalate issues requiring higher-level support.
• Maintain a positive attitude while handling challenging situations and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
• Prior experience in a help desk or technical support role preferred, but not required.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and networking.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
