$30–$40 per class, depending on experience and certification
Position Summary
PebbleCreek, a residential resort community located in Goodyear, Arizona, seeks certified Group Exercise Instructors to provide safe, effective, and inclusive group fitness classes. The target demographic consists primarily of active adults aged 45 and above. The instructor is expected to demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and the ability to adapt programming for a wide range of participant abilities.
Essential Responsibilities
• Conduct group exercise classes tailored to an active adult population
• Ensure participant safety through appropriate exercise design and instruction
• Provide modifications to accommodate varying fitness levels
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging class environment
• Maintain all required professional certifications
• Communicate effectively with participants and staff
• Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled sessions
Required Qualifications
• Current Group Fitness Instructor Certification from one (1) of the following organizations:
• - American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
• - American Council on Exercise (ACE)
• - International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA)
• - Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA)
• - National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
• Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience in group exercise instruction
• Current certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid
• Professional Liability Insurance
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with older adult populations (preferred)
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
