For an exciting opportunity for a Brand new Design Team in NYC

Responsibilities:

• Create new and/or manipulate existing textile prints and graphics for apparel in various media within specific timelines
• Prepare prints and embellishments for production
• Communicate with corporate partners, including overseas vendors and factories
• Brainstorm new concepts for prints and embellishments, being continually aware of current print and graphic trends and bringing newness to the product
• Collaborate with Apparel Designers to ensure that artwork fits within the overall seasonal vision and concept
• Collaborate with design and production partners to finalize scaling, placement, and appropriate graphic techniques
• Quick turnaround times!

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in design or graphic art for apparel
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Eye for balance
• Knowledge of textile repeats
• Knowledge of apparel graphic/print techniques (foil, glitter, etc)
• Knowledge of Embroidery Stitch Techniques
• Must have experience in creating artwork for embroideries and creating embellishments.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently while functioning as part of a larger team
