The Role We are seeking a talented, innovative full-stack developer with substantial front-end and back-end Shopify experience to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our design, product, and marketing teams to create user-friendly, seamless experiences that reflect Stately’s brand and enhance our customers’ journey. The ideal candidate is adept at building efficient back-end processes while also delivering exceptional front-end functionality. You will use your experience with web development, Shopify, and custom coding to improve our site and provide a modern, visually engaging user interface.
Full-Stack Developer Responsibilities - Work with cross-functional teams to build and maintain engaging, responsive front-end designs, with a strong emphasis on improving user experience.
- Lead front-end development for customizations on Shopify, including Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS to enhance site performance and functionality.
- Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into functional, mobile-responsive pages on Shopify that align with brand aesthetics.
- Implement interactive elements, animations, and other dynamic content to elevate the site’s engagement.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability across devices.
- Develop, test, and debug integrations, custom applications, and new features on both front-end and back-end environments.
- Analyze existing code for potential improvements to optimize front- and back-end efficiency.
- Maintain and troubleshoot integrations with Shopify apps and other systems such as Klaviyo, ReCharge, and custom APIs.
- Regularly review industry trends and keep up-to-date with the latest Shopify development practices, tools, and frameworks.
- Compile and present data, insights, and progress reports to leadership, offering recommendations for improved functionality.
Full-Stack Developer Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a full-stack developer, with a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development
- Significant experience with Shopify, Liquid, and custom Shopify app development
- Proficiency in front-end languages and libraries (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery) and frameworks (React, Vue.js)
- Experience with back-end languages and environments (Python, Java, PHP) and understanding of MVC architecture
- Familiarity with Odoo or other ERP systems, PostgreSQL, and GitHub for version control
- Strong background in REST API integrations, with experience connecting Shopify to systems like Klaviyo and ReCharge
- Focus on efficiency, clean code practices, user experience, and process improvement
- Exceptional project and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously or in a team
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Keen attention to detail and a passion for continuous learning
