We are looking to add a team member to help us share our goods with the visitors at the PSU Farmers Market and/or Hillsdale Farmers Market this year. This is a good entry-level opportunity to get involved in the specialty chocolate industry as well as to join the vibrant community and network of farmers and food artisans behind these markets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Light preparation and packing of market beverages, pastries, at our facility located in SE Portland
- Transport to and from market, tables, tent, tent weights, finished products, and supplies
- Set up and breakdown market booth
- Merchandise products
- Capture sales in POS
- Serve and handle pastries, beverages, vanilla products, chocolate products, and other confections
- Provide product details and samples to customers
- Settle till
- Cleanup and restocking
Requirements
- Personal vehicle for transportation an valid Oregon drivers license
- Food handlers card
- Good communication skills
- Service oriented
- Punctuality
- Appreciation for local farming, produce, and artisanal food
PSU Saturday shift 6:30am - 3pm
Hillsdale Sunday shift 7:15am - 2pm
Wage $17/hr + parking fee (PSU only)
