Job Summary:
The Executive Protection Specialist is responsible for ensuring the personal safety and security of a high-net-worth individual and their family. This role involves close protection, secure transportation, residential security, and emergency response, while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Security: Provide close protection at home, during daily activities, and transportation. Plan and execute safe local travel, including route selection and vehicle security.
Emergency Response: React quickly to security threats, medical situations, or other emergencies.
Residential Security Support: Assist with securing the clients home, screening and supervision of contractors and monitoring security systems.
Coordination with Security Teams: Work with household staff and security personnel to ensure a safe environment.
Confidentiality & Discretion: Maintain strict privacy regarding the clients personal and professional matters.
Requirements:
1. Prior experience (5 years) in law enforcement, military, or high-level private security. At least 2 years executive protection experience. Strong situational awareness, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills. Discreet, professional, and able to blend into various environments. Physically fit with the ability to respond to dynamic threats. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to work, if needed, long, irregular hours, including travel. High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
2. Licenses & Certifications: Firearms training with proficiency in concealed carry, tactical shooting, and retention. Have or have ability to obtain a Florida G and D license. A LEOSA Card a plus. Valid Florida driver's license with good driving history. DD214 is applicable. Letter of Good Standing from prior law enforcement or security agency.
3. Training: Defensive tactics, including hand-to-hand combat and de-escalation techniques. Legal and ethical considerations, including use-of-force laws and liability mitigation. Collaborate and liaison skills for law enforcement contact.
4. Operational Standards & Protocols: Maintain low-profile, non-intrusive protection methods unless overt presence is necessary. Establish secure zones at residences, offices, and travel destinations as required. Enforce strict access control and perimeter security. Effective, safe driving skills. Maintain clear communication protocols with principal and team.
5. Ethical & Legal Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws regarding security operations.
Maintain strict confidentiality and professional ethics. Avoid conflicts of interest and unauthorized use of force.
Follow non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and client confidentiality policies. Ability to pass a drug screening test and background investigation.
