Our Executive Director

  • Actively participate in and provides leadership for the Community and its staff.
  • Supervise directly/indirectly all staff in the Community.
  • Implement programs and services for residents that are developed in tandem with Regional and Corporate staff members.
  • Ensure Community is in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Direct the management team to ensure the success of the Community including:
  • Working with residents, family and responsible parties to achieve a high level of satisfaction.
  • Maintaining a positive relationship with the professional community.
  • Facilitating open communication with staff and peers.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of employee and resident records as appropriate.
  • Accountable for all areas of operations meeting all financial and budgetary objectives.
  • Participate and be accountable for oversight of all marketing and sales activities and results.
  • Operate the Community in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures and ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
  • Ensure that the Business Office Manager completes all required elements of Workers Compensation Program in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the implementation of OSHA and Safety guidelines.
  • Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals
  • Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have an RCFE License for the state of California
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in related organizations, and a minimum of three years of management experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years as Assistant Executive Director or Executive Director in senior living facility
  • Knowledge of senior living community development as well as state and federal laws and regulations applicable to the senior living industry.
  • Must have experience working with long term care, assisted living, and retirement communities, and experience with budgets and capital improvement projects.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft Office products
  • Must have proven leadership and administrative skills with a professional demeanor, speaking and writing abilities.
  • Ability to understand and administer the financial reporting and requirements of the Community
  • Professional attitude, appearance and presence.
  • Must possess current and valid driver’s license consistent with the requirements determined by size of vehicle and laws of the state in which the driver is licensed.
