We are seeking a Full-Time Cosmetologist / Esthetician for our Dominion Location.
Pay will be reflective of productivity and not necessarily experience. Our highest-earning current team members average $32/hr when base pay, tips, and commission are considered.
Job Position:
- Sugaring NYC (Dominion) is seeking a skilled, licensed Cosmetologist with threading experience.
- Sugaring training will be provided.
- Current shifts available are:
- Mondays 9 am-7 pm.
- Tuesdays 9 am-7 pm.
- Wed 9 am-8 pm.
- Thursday 9 am-8 pm.
- Friday 9 am-8 pm.
- Sat and Sunday, 9 am-7 pm.
- SUGARING experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Position Overview:
- Ideal candidates should possess experience in the spa services we offer.
- Demonstrate a personable demeanor with both team members and clients.
- Display a willingness to collaborate within a team, adhere to a rotating schedule, and prioritize punctuality to respect clients’ and the spa’s time.
- Required expertise in waxing.
- Base pay will be determined based on the candidate’s level of experience in sugaring.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Texas Esthetician or Cosmetologist license.
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in waxing.
- Bring forth a positive, enthusiastic, and personable attitude, coupled with a genuine passion for skincare.
- Comfortably perform body hair removal through Sugaring for all genders.
- Demonstrate a deep and thorough understanding of skin, skincare, and related products.
- Consistently provide outstanding customer service.
- Adaptable to new techniques and ideas in the field.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and a team-player mentality.
- Showcase excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate exceptional time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual in all professional commitments.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Create an excellent and unforgettable experience for our clients.
- Provide a fun, high-quality body sugaring experience.
- Educate clients on the sugaring options and supplemental services to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Analyze, consult, and perform high-quality hair removal in a professional and comfortable setting.
- Build new guest relationships and focus on the retention of clients.
- Meet and exceed service and retail objectives.
- Meet the schedule needs of the Spa.
- Check Clients In/out using our POS system.
- Adapt to new situations efficiently.
- Mature and maintain appropriate conversations before, during, and after services.
- Restock spa rooms and maintain inventory.
- Follow the policy standards for changing shifts, including cancellations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be physically capable of working on their feet for 8+ hours a day.
- Must have full mobility of hands and arms.
- Must be able to lean down, bend over, stoop, squat, and multitask.

Pay:
- Base Pay will depend on experience in brow threading, sugaring, brow lamination, vajacials, lash lifts, management, and marketing.
- Tips: Will depend on the client's experience.
- Commission on packages and products sold.
- Raises will be dependent on productivity, customer retention, rebooking %, and customer service.
- An Esthetician who has a rebooking % greater than 40%, booked schedule greater than 40%, who applies themselves to selling products and memberships, will have an average hourly rate greater than $30/hr. Pay is reflective of estheticians' productivity and attendance, and their ability to rebook.
