Job Description

A Contract-to-Hire Engineering Technician position in Fairport, NY is available courtesy of Akkodis

• Rate: $27-$32/hour (possibly higher) based on years of exp and other factors)
• Location: Fairport, NY
• Type: Contract-to-Hire

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspection, testing, troubleshooting of Equipment such as Optical Comparators and CMM’s.
• Electronics testing and troubleshooting.
• Assist in prototyping.
• Some soldering.
• Support scanning fixtures in 922B/C and 924.
• Possible assistance in CAD Drafting.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of experience in electronics and electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Somebody who loves to build computers, tinker, etc.
• Enjoys troubleshooting.
• Prototyping experience preferred.
• CAD Drafting experience preferred, especially in AutoCAD, SoldWorks or Inventor.
• Some experience soldering.

PREFERRED

• Comfortable in a switch of action items
• Problem solving skills
• Experience building/repairing computer system (software/hardware comfortable)
• Basic Electrical Skills
• Circuit (or other) Soldering Skills
• Equipment - Inspection Optical comparative & CMM
