Job Description
TekPro Engineering is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead electrical construction efforts on high-profile data center project s. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing projects from pre-construction through closeout, preferably within an electrical subcontractor setting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of electrical construction projects for data centers, from planning to final commissioning
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Lead project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Prepare and review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual standards
- Conduct site visits and manage field coordination efforts
- Mentor junior staff and assist in developing project team capabilities
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing electrical construction projects, with at least 2 years focused on data centers
- Prior experience working for an electrical subcontractor is strongly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, drawings, and NEC codes
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project documentation
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or Primavera P6)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required)
