Mission

 

Delta is seeking a Marketing Intern which will be based at our Corporate Office in Cape Girardeau, MO. Qualified candidates will be currently enrolled in a Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field of study. The individual must possess strong visual design, social media strategy, and organizational skills. The Marketing Intern will support the Communications Manager with ongoing projects as well as complete a summer project of their own.

Main Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Strategizing on social media management and planning
  • Analyze current social performance
  • Graphic design work for ads, flyers, and presentations
  • Photography and videography on job sites
  • Organizing current photography in one easy-to-access space
  • Monitor project requests
  • Choose a marketing project to be approved by the Communications Manager and completed by the end of the internship

Required skills include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, PremierePro)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

  • LinkedIn

Physical Requirements

 

  • Work performed indoors and outdoors; noise exposure varies from quiet to loud
  • Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 35 pounds
  • Wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE) required
  • Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects and operate a computer
  • Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
  • Regularly required to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; visiting work sites may require walking over uneven terrain and some exposure to dust, and chemicals.
  • Frequent exposure to working around moving equipment and machinery
  • Some travel with overnight stays away from home may be required
