Core responsibilities
Analyze cryptocurrency market trends, charts, order books, and news to identify potential trading opportunities.
Execute buy and sell orders on exchanges, manage open positions, and adjust stop-loss/ take-profit levels based on market conditions.
Develop, test, and refine manual or algorithmic trading strategies, including intraday, swing, or longer-term approaches.
Risk management and monitoring
Manage portfolio risk by sizing positions, diversifying across assets, and setting clear risk-reward ratios for each trade.
Continuously monitor markets, volatility, and liquidity, especially during major economic events, protocol updates, or regulatory news.
Keep records of trades, performance metrics, and strategy results to evaluate profitability and improve decision-making over time.
Skills and requirements
Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain basics, and how different tokens, exchanges, and trading products work.
Proficiency with charting platforms, technical indicators, and sometimes programming skills for automated or quantitative strategies.
Discipline, emotional control, and the ability to follow a defined trading plan while managing high risk and rapid price fluctuations.
