Reports to : Director of Operations

Position Overview

The Project Manager will spearhead the execution of project management services, ensuring seamless delivery of client-focused outcomes while actively contributing to internal business functions, including strategic business development, financial oversight, and team mentorship. This role entails significant autonomy, managing entire projects or key project components as delegated by senior leadership. The Project Manager is expected to proactively identify opportunities to enhance project value, aligning deliverables with the client’s vision and strategic objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee client relationships and project teams, ensuring alignment with client objectives and successful project delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through critical project decisions with clarity and expertise.
  • Orchestrate all project phases—Preconstruction, Construction, and Closeout—ensuring meticulous planning, execution, and completion:
  • Preconstruction : Assemble architectural and engineering teams, manage design processes, develop schedules, conduct constructability reviews, establish budgets, oversee contract administration, facilitate construction bidding, and navigate permitting strategies.
  • Construction : Direct contractor activities, including procurement, risk management, quality assurance, safety protocols, and adherence to budget and schedule milestones.
  • Closeout : Manage project completion processes, ensuring compliance with specifications and client expectations.
  • Generate comprehensive cost and status reports tailored to client requirements, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Lead and mentor internal project support teams (Project Engineers and Administrators) or operate independently as needed, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance project outcomes, delivering added value in alignment with client goals.
  • Contribute to team success through effective communication, collaboration, and adaptability to additional assigned duties.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will exhibit a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Construction Project Management, ideally as an Owner’s Representative, with a preference for preconstruction expertise.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with robust financial acumen and numeracy skills.
  • Proven capacity to produce precise reports and manage multifaceted projects with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership in inspiring and guiding diverse teams to achieve project excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Primarily based in an indoor office setting, utilizing computers and standard office equipment. The role requires prolonged computer use and effective telephone communication.
  • Occasional site visits may involve physical demands, including navigating ladders, stairs, scaffolding, or ramps, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Physical agility, including walking, standing, carrying, pushing, stooping, crouching, and pulling, may be required for extended periods.
  • The ability to adapt to dynamic site conditions and maintain safety standards is essential.
