Job Title: Water / Wastewater Engineer (Civil Engineer)

Location: Offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic (hybrid possibility for established in state engineers)

Job Type: Full-Time

Our client, a reputable regional engineering firm specializing in infrastructure projects, is seeking a talented W/WW Engineer to oversee and manage a range of projects related to municipal water systems, pipelines, pump stations, and related infrastructure. This is a critical role that requires technical expertise, project delivery excellence, and leadership abilities.

PE or EIT License (Professional Engineering License) is mandatory

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, oversee, and review the delivery of projects related to planning and design of water/wastewater systems, including treatment processes, collection/distribution designs, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
  • Lead the development and delivery of engineering reports and studies for water and wastewater projects, emphasizing treatment and collection/distribution systems.
  • Participate in detailed design efforts for various water and wastewater projects, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices and industry standards.
  • Design drainage systems for transportation and other projects with site development elements.
  • Manage field investigations and data processing to obtain necessary information for analysis and design work.
  • Ensure quality assurance for project elements, including preparation of permit applications, materials testing, CADD work, and other related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer License. (at minimum the ability to obtain within 2 years)
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
  • Strong technical skills in water and wastewater treatment processes, collection/distribution designs, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
  • Proficiency in software such as Autodesk Civil 3D and various modeling tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license.
