Chemical Production Operator

Position Summary:

A chemical production operator is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment used to manufacture chemical products according to established procedures and quality standards. The role spans a broad scope, including raw material and finished product handling, process control, troubleshooting deviations, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Chemical production operators play a critical role in maintaining consistent product quality and efficient plant operations while minimizing risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely conduct the filling of totes, drums, and tankers with hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Conduct hazardous and non-hazardous material handling and shipping.
• Loading/unloading of incoming/outgoing shipments.
• Collaborate with front desk staff and truck drivers to ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete.
• Follow processes with raw materials for batch production.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Flexible hours and scheduling
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly
• Forklift experience (preferred)

Preferred Certification

• Forklift License
• CPR Certification

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Exposure to chemicals, sterilizers, and hazardous materials with appropriate PPE
• Work primarily in industrial and laboratory facilities
• May require extended hours
• Ability to bend, squat, and lift 50 lbs
