Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our team in Hollister, CA. This role is crucial in optimizing and developing processes to enhance production efficiency, quality, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a passion for continuous improvement, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production goals, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues related to process engineering
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and product development, to support new product introductions and process improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for process deviations, product defects, and equipment failures, implementing corrective and preventive measures.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment and technology upgrades to enhance production capabilities and quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to optimize workflows and eliminate waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for process enhancement. Use of statistical process controls (SPC) to make data driven decisions.
  • Utilize fundamental problem solving tools, as well as, advanced technologies to innovate and improve process workflows and outcomes.
  • Interest, willingness and ability to mentor junior team members and operators in process fundamentals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a high mix, high reliability manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in process design, optimization tools, and statistical analysis software (SPC).
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.
  • Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools is a plus.
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) is a plus.
  • A technology-forward mindset with experience in using advanced tools to enhance work output is highly desired.
