Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder to review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to assign accurate ICD-9-CM and CPT codes. The coder will support billing processes, reporting, research, and regulatory compliance through precise and compliant coding practices.
Responsibilities
Review clinical documentation and diagnostic reports to extract relevant coding data.
Assign accurate ICD-9-CM and CPT codes according to established coding guidelines.
Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with ICD-9-CM Official Coding Guidelines.
Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify documentation as needed.
Support audits, reporting, and research activities through accurate coding.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with coding guidelines and best practices.
Qualifications
Proven experience with ICD-9-CM and CPT coding.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
Excellent attention to detail in reviewing and analyzing clinical documentation.
Effective communication and documentation skills.
Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
