Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: 373 Park Avenue South, NY 10016

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00/hr

Shift: Days, Monday-Friday (9AM to 5 PM)

Duration: 3 Months

03 Months (Contract) with possible extension

Duties:

• Performs routine diagnostic lab tests and procedures, including specimen preparation, microbial identification, and operation of lab equipment.
• Maintains knowledge of lab techniques, instruments, and testing protocols, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
• Assists with special projects, product evaluations, and research initiatives within the lab.
• Supports patient care activities such as preparing patients for exams, assisting with mobility, taking vital signs, and collecting specimens.
• Assists physicians with clinical procedures and communicates instructions to patients and families.
• Handles clerical tasks including managing medical records, completing forms, and retrieving reports, using EMR systems as needed.
• Processes prescription refill requests and enters physician orders into the EMR for review and approval.
• Maintains inventory, prepares exam rooms, follows sterilization protocols, and performs phlebotomy when required.
