The Company is a marketing technology (MarTech) company specializing in innovative software solutions that transform how financial institutions and businesses connect with prospects and customers. Our product suite drives client engagement through a service-oriented delivery model on a cloud-based platform designed to streamline workflows across multiple channels.

As we accelerate our market expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled, visionary Board Member to guide our growth, contribute to our strategic direction, and ensure strong governance for our family-owned enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Guidance: Collaborate with the President and executive leadership to define and refine the company’s long-term vision, strategy, and growth objectives.
  • Governance & Oversight: Uphold strong governance practices, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards; provide oversight of annual reporting to shareholders.
  • Financial Stewardship: Review and guide financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions supporting scalable growth.
  • Market Expansion & Partnerships: Leverage industry knowledge to identify opportunities for growth, strategic partnerships, and new market entry initiatives.
  • Risk Management: Advise on potential risks and challenges, including competitive pressures, technological disruptions, and financial vulnerabilities.
  • Talent & Culture: Help cultivate a strong organizational culture, attracting and retaining top talent in the MarTech space.
  • Innovation Leadership: Provide insights on product and technology trends to ensure our suite remains cutting-edge and ahead of market demands.

Skills & Experience

  • Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of marketing technology, including current trends, challenges, and emerging innovations.
  • Strategic Leadership: Proven track record guiding high-growth companies through various development stages, from start-up to scale.
  • Technology & Product Acumen:
  • Large-Scale Systems: Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing robust, high-performance systems—ideally in a SaaS or MarTech environment.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycles, tech stacks, and innovation best practices.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid foundation in corporate finance, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Governance & Compliance: Experience with corporate governance, risk management, and legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Marketing & Sales: Proficiency in digital marketing, customer acquisition strategies, and data-driven marketing.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in senior leadership roles within technology or SaaS organizations.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in building and scaling businesses.
  • Collaborative Insight: Ability to offer independent, strategic perspectives while working cohesively with executive leadership and fellow Board members.
  • MarTech Awareness: Deep understanding of the competitive MarTech landscape, including industry disruptors and emerging technologies.

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 10–15 hours per quarter , primarily during quarterly Board meetings.
  • Meetings are held at our company headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama .
