Job Description
LHH is seeking a dedicated and professional Human Resources Generalist to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day human resources operations and providing administrative support for various HR functions. This role requires independence, professionalism, precision, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Management: Review biweekly payroll data, including new hire and termination information. Address any time and attendance issues for payroll approval.
- Recruitment: Execute the full recruitment process for designated positions, including job postings, phone interviews, job interviews, regular communication with candidates and managers, reference checks, and background checks.
- Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for all new employees, maintaining up-to-date new hire and employee paperwork and reporting.
- Compliance: Stay updated on wage and hour law changes, payroll taxes, and technology. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Employee Relations: Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Handle HR questions and interpret policies.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, life, disability insurance, supplemental medical, and 401k.
- Leave Management: Maintain and track FMLA records and other leave of absence processes to ensure proper execution.
- Safety and Workers Compensation: Maintain a safe environment and understand workers compensation and OSHA safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of HR experience.
- Language Skills: Spanish bilingual REQUIRED.
- Knowledge: Current understanding of Federal & CA Employment Law and Compliance.

- Knowledge of payroll and workers compensation
- Experience in a production plant HR environment
