About the opportunity:

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to help enterprises replatform, refactor, and reimagine legacy applications using the power of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AI-driven productivity tools such as Gemini Code Assist .

In this strategic, client-facing role, you’ll collaborate closely with Sales Executives, assess client challenges, design modernization roadmaps, and bridge the gap between technology and business transformation .

Responsibilities:

• Design modern application solutions on GCP, leveraging container orchestration (GKE), serverless platforms, and service mesh frameworks.
• Lead discovery and pre-sales engagements , assessing legacy systems and defining modernization strategies.
• Translate client goals into actionable technical solutions and author detailed Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Apply AI-powered developer tools (Gemini Code Assist, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to streamline workflows and refactor legacy codebases.
• Define CI/CD strategies and embed observability best practices into modernized environments.
• Act as a trusted advisor to client technology teams and executives throughout the sales cycle.
• Represent Avenue Code in industry events, webinars, and technical publications on modernization and AI-driven development.
• Stay up to date with the latest GCP advancements, modernization frameworks, and AI developer tools .

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in application architecture or cloud-native development, with a focus on modernization.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Gemini Code Assist, GitHub Copilot, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and service-oriented design .
• Proven track record in pre-sales or technical consulting , delivering client-centric solutions.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Node.js, or similar .
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification (or equivalent) preferred.
• Excellent communication skills across both technical and executive audiences.
• Experience publishing technical content or speaking at industry events is a plus.

We consider a wide range of factors such as internal equity, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, business or organizational needs, and others. At Avenue Code, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for a Solutions Architect is from USD 140k to USD 200k per year.
