Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounts payable principles and practices. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, resolving discrepancies, and fostering positive relationships with vendors.

Compensation:

$50,000 - $65,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing:

• Receive, verify, and process invoices for accuracy and completeness, including matching purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Enter and process vendor invoices into the accounting system in a timely/accurate manner.

Payment Management:

• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.

FinancialReporting and Compliance:

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist with audits as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records.

Qualifications:

• Understanding fundamental accounting principles and bookkeeping
• Familiarity with debits and credits.
• Knowledge of invoice processing, payment procedures, and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with purchase order processes.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
