The Accounting Specialist is an established performer that supports various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.  This role will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial transactions and assisting with month-end close processes.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable non-exempt staff in the daily administration of customer accounts. 
• Ensure that Accounts Receivables are in balance and accurate and take necessary steps to troubleshoot and correct issues. 
• Complete non-routine Accounts Receivable functions, including reviewing and analyzing accounts receivable financial and statistical reports to ensure the accurate and timely reconciliation of all assigned accounts.
• Prepare department statistical or financial reports for record, manage reports and audits.
• Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Coordinate documentation of all processes and standard operating procedures in a consistent format to maintain proper governance.
• Assist with the testing, training, and rollout of system upgrades such as Mohawk Xchange and SAP C4C Service Cloud at both the customer and team member level.
• Utilize data to identify customer behavior to drive process improvement, automation opportunities, and increased utilization of self-service tools.
• Collaborate with Commercial Customer Experience leadership and overall customer experience operations to develop consistent, reliable, and automated reports for commercial specific reporting needs.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Required Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.  
• 2-4 years of job-related experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
